 Octavio: When I came to San Francisco from Mexico at 12, I faced all the challenges you’d expect—new community, new culture, new language. I was placed in Spanish-only classes, which, in theory, should have helped, but it meant I never learned English in school. That made life much harder once I left. I eventually learned, but I made sure my kids learned English early so they wouldn’t face the same obstacles.

 

I worked in the garbage industry for years, but I always knew I wanted more. What I knew for sure was that I liked working with people and solving problems. That led me to real estate in 1990. I quickly saw that many Spanish speakers faced the same struggles I had and needed someone they could trust to guide them through a complex system.

 

 Helping people find great deals, guiding families into homeownership, and connecting them to real opportunity became a passion. But for years, I didn’t treat it like a real business. It felt more like a hobby—I loved it, but I didn’t view it as a business back then. But now, with over 35 years in real estate, my vision for the future has changed.

 

I started the Green Eagle Team to bring together experienced professionals who can guide clients through every part of buying and selling. We serve everyone, but we’ve made it a priority to ensure Spanish-speaking clients have the support and resources they need to step into homeownership confidently. And now, many of my longtime clients are investing and building generational wealth. I believe in our mission and practice what I preach. 

 

Susie is my partner in life and business. We have a blended family of children, grandchildren, and one child together. She brings years of lending experience, and together, we’re building a full-service team. Our mission is simple: give people the support, tools, and knowledge to build lasting wealth.

 

 Susie: I got into real estate by accident. I was working at a computer rental company, had moved up quickly, but hit a ceiling. I wanted to shift into sales, but didn’t get the chance. Around that time, my mom went to a wedding and ran into a cousin who owned a Century 21 office. A few days later, that cousin called me and said, “Why sell computers when you could sell houses?” That simple question changed my life.

 

I got my license and started working with English-speaking clients, but people began referring me to Spanish-speaking families. I was fluent, but I hadn’t grown up using Spanish in business, so it was new territory. What shocked me was how many of these clients were telling me similar stories of being taken advantage of. They had limited resources because of the language barriers and didn’t know who to trust. No one was walking them through the paperwork or explaining the terms. And I was there trying to dig them out of the hole another professional got them in.

 

 From then on, I made it my mission to serve the Hispanic community with full transparency and care. I wanted every client to understand what they were signing, what their options were, and what steps to take next. I built my career on that mission.

 

Octavio and I have been working together for over 20 years, and now we’re building something bigger with the Green Eagle Team. I focus on financing, compliance, and structure. He focuses on deals, strategy, and negotiation. Together, we’re a complete resource for our clients. We pride ourselves on being the go-to name for anyone needing trustworthy, reliable, and highly effective real estate services.
